Leheriya-or Leher means waves, the designs that are created using this technique are like waves in beautiful paintings .One can create a huge array of lines and criss cross lines (MOTHDA) ,in a variety of colours. The finer qualities are practiced only by a handful of artisans in Rajasthan. Here our challenge is to create the complexities of designs possible using only the indigo bath .We will try to do one to 3 colour variations by rolling tying, retying, opening, retying and thus creating interesting patterns.
